Kojima was going to collaborate with film director Guillermo Del Toro on Silent Hills but ended up getting his likeness in Death Stranding instead as the character Deadman. While Silent Hills was cancelled, Reedus went on to star in Death Stranding, which is Kojima’s first game with the new studio he started up, Kojima Productions. Still, it wasn’t known if his likeness had been captured for the short game. Reedus even appears in a cinematic that plays when you get to the end of P.T. This discovery isn’t a huge surprise as Norman Reedus has long been known to be the actor lined up to star in Kojima’s vaporware horror game Silent Hills. “I moved the camera down to a little above chest height to get a clear look at one of the cleaner parts of the mirror.” “You usually can’t see his face because the mirror is covered in filth specifically to obscure it,” McDonald says. PXh5svLRSi- Lance McDonald December 12, 2019 Not that there any real doubt, but yeah, it's Norman Reedus the whole time. is the same guy we see in the ending cinematic. Just to put any uncertainty finally to rest after all this time, yes, the guy you play as in P.T. McDonald explained to IGN over email why this information wasn’t known beforehand and how he managed to uncover it. You can quite clearly see that it’s the Walking Dead actor and star of Kojima’s latest game Death Stranding. The video shows the reflection of the playable character in a mirror inside the game environment.
